We are the Street Lit Guardians of the Galaxy.
We guard the welfare of this galaxy by using our creative writing to show eyes what can happen in the universe and this reality, and we may inform about any aspect of life and living.
We may also entertain in the attempt to make life an experience worth living.
What we do is ask each person to read any creative writing they wish to share.
Then we ask the writer to remain silent as we go around the room and have each person express what they felt about any aspect of the presentation. Each person may include in their response advice which we agree the writer need not take.
Then we give the writer time to make remarks, clarifications, or answer questions.
These are our modest guidelines:
- Raise your hand to gain the floor
- You could say "I release the floor" to show you have ended talking so we can move on quickly
-We are all the police and responsible to choose a nice way to interupt a member who leads us to conversations far away from the topic of the read piece or whose remarks go on for too long. We might say something like "Caution; We are getting off track." or "Caution; 2 minutes."
- Its okay to move around quietly but remain indirectly attentive and do not start private ongoing communication when another member has the floor.
- After your turn to speak, it's okay to raise your hand to add another line of thought. You have the right to be heard before we go on to the next person.
Let everyone who brought something to share raise their hand so we can see.
Let any new guardian hero names be announced now.
Let's go around the room and have each person share their guardian name which is a product of a very real characteristic within their personality - and their super power.
At this moment, the facilitator will take over with their reading or direct a reader to begin.
